Changi Beach.. squatter haven?

I was at Changi Village on Monday to register for a course at the PA Sea Sports Club when i decided to drop by the beach for a while. To my surprise, i saw all these tents pitched up all over the place and they looked as if they were staying put!

If it was a weekend, i would take it as normal but on a Monday?! Upon taking a closer look, i noticed that there were fishing nets and cages among the tents. So i figured they must be fishermen and their families. How convenient eh? No rent, utility bills, public toilets a minute's walk away..

Sigh.. To buy or NOT to buy..?

There are countless occasions when i'm sailing/kayaking/scuba-diving and i wished i had this $369.00!!! piece of equipment..

My new room-mate?

Something interesting happened this morning. I was at my desk (which is in front of the window) typing on my laptop when a bird flew to my window and then back into the tree. I then realised that there was something at the window where the bird flew to. It was this tree lizard! I think the bird tried to catch it for a meal but then, the lizard fought back and somehow, the bird left it at my window. Either that or the lizard asked the bird for a lift to my window.

After a while, i realised the lizard was gone. No bird had flown back to my window so i'm assuming the lizard either jumped off the window or is living comfortably in my room somewhere.

Would you say something like this?!!

My God.. the person who said this must have an EQ level of minus 10! Yes, Took is a convicted murderer, but there's no need to taunt his already distraught family right? Seeing headlines like this makes me embarrassed to be a Singaporean.. oh, unless the person who said it was Malaysian lah.

30 minutes into the trail, I developed a stomach ache and was contemplating whether to turn around and make my way home (NO WAY i'm shittin in the bush!). But then, I realised that my reservist stint was just 3 weeks away and I'll be spending 3 days out in Lim Chu Kang. Best to train my body to control it's bowel movement (NO WAY i'm shittin in the bush!).. so like the happy trooper I was.. I plodded on.
