Climbing in Camp 5, Kuala Lumpur

Went on a climbing trip to Kuala Lumpur with NTU's University Mountaineering Club over the weekend. The program was to climb at Batu Caves on Saturday and Camp 5 on Sunday. Eugene, Chris, PJ and myself decided to go to Camp 5 for both days instead.

Camp 5 was really great. Other than the irritating ang moh staff who kept telling me to stand 2 metres (go screw yerself!) from the wall when lead belaying, it was a great experience. I think Krabi is great for outdoor climbing & cheap thai food while KL is great for indoor climbing & cheap restaurant food! And i'm thankful to have good company for both of those trips.

Spending the night with them is always entertaining. We were cracking jokes and laughing as if we were teenage girls having a sleepover. Don't worry PJ, there were no brokeback moments. Well, except for this one.... and the time when Chris fondled Eugene.. and the time we were lying on the floor at camp 5. Ok ok.. there were NOT THAT MANY brokeback moments!

I love climbing with these guys and going on climbing trips with them. Yes, i do have to put up with Eugene's and Chris's constant bickering and fondling (each other) but their company does ensure that i stay young at heart.. thank you guys!

Beast shows his true colours!

I was in a really mischievous mood (as always) today. My stupid computer at work crashed due to some goddamned virus so i had to use my colleague, Justina's computer when she was out for lunch. She has some toys on her desk and i just luuuurve to put them in compromising positions when she's not around.

Today, i helped Beast show off his equipment..

Coldplay

Coldplay concert was tonight.. and it was FREAKING FABULOUS!

When they sang 'Yellow', giant yellow balls came tumbling out of nowhere.

The last time they were here, they opened for Travis (where are you?!) in 2001. I wasn't really impressed with them yet as their first album, 'Parachutes' was 'forgetable'.

However, they got the formula right with 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' and i've been a fan ever since.

There were A LOT of ang mohs in the free standing area. And i have absolutely no freakin idea why short people would want to buy a ticket for the free standing area!

I'm really at a lost for words (other than 'freaking fabulous') to describe how the concert was. All i can say is that it was really a great feeling to be able to see a favourite band performing live all the songs that you love and can identify with. The sexy girl gyrating in the seat on my left added to that great feeling too.
